create a gallery

Have spent 3 hours trying to get my uploaded photo into create a gallery but it just asks me to create a subfolder how do I do this and where is the link please I thought that this was supposed to be easy - I can click on the image file and dble click on the photo name and it opens so I see my photo with the URL and HTML at the bottom - I have even tried copying the URL and HTML into the sitewide settings boxes but nothing comes up - how do I simply get my photo onto my web page.

would very much appreciate your help in laymans terms please.

First you have to create a new images subfolder in "files" and upload some images to it. And you must move all the pictures that you would like to have in a gallery into this folder

=> Extras
=> Galleries
=> then you can create a new gallery by clicking above on the "Create a new gallery" link.

Enter the image directory here from which you would like to create a gallery
Next, select whether you would like to have a Type 1 gallery (gallery with thumbnail pictures to browse through) or a Type 2 gallery (slide show).

Below you can then make various settings such as font size, font color, etc.
